TWF & Co Ltd announces with regret that the Tralee Women's Resource Centre in Aras an Phobail has ceased operations.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly and have deferred for as long as possible. We wish to pay tribute to all our staff over the years and both past and present board members for their commitment and dedication over three decades.
The Board would also like to acknowledge the support it has received from its funders over the years. These include the HSE, TUSLA, DSP/FAS and in the past the Department of the Environment and also many other funders ranging from the Ann Howard Foundation to major funders such as the EU NOW projects. We have also benefited from working in partnership with local, regional and national networks and organisations most notably Kerry Women’s Refuge and Support Centre , Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre, South Kerry Womens Association and many, many other groups in the county as well as National Womens Council of Ireland , Aontas, etc.The Centre has also benefited from informal support from individuals and groups in the community and we wish to acknowledge this too.
In conclusion, we would like to once again acknowledge the dedication of the current and previous staff and board members.
